When the heat pump is in operation, condensate is discharged from the bottom. It must
be possible fr the condensate to run away. Therefore, a drain valve with hose or a drain
pump (accessory) should be fitted if the heat pump is submerged.

Where in the circulation system chemi-
cals are added to the water, is also cru-
cial for the life span of the heat pump.
If an automatic chlorinator is used, it
must always be located downstream of
the heat pump.
A return valve must be installed be-
tween the chlorinator and the heat
pump to prevent the flow of chlorine
back into the heat pump. See the illus-
trations here to the left.
