TROUBLESHOOTING
Incorrect operations are often for trouble and malfunctions. If you think that there is something wrong with this component,
check the points below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Inspect the other components and electrical
appliances being used. If the trouble cannot be rectified even after exercising the checks listed below, ask your nearest
PIONEER authorized service center or your dealer to carry out repair work.
SYMPTOM
1. Disc table is not ejected when

Plug in power cord.

Remove disc and let player stand for 1
to 2 hours until it is dry.
Try to alleviate the warp.

NTSC system discs cannot be used
with this player.
Replace batteries.
Remove
the
obstacle
or
shift
remote control position.
Operate the remote control unit in front
of the player.
Move the IV and the player further
apart, or cover the remote sensor of
the TV during disc playback.
REMEDY
Turn on TV.
Make
correct
connections.
Adjust vertical-hold control on TV.
Use a soft cloth and lightly wipe off
the dirt from the surface
of the disc. If
necessary,
moisten
a cloth with diluted
neutral detergent to remove heavy dirt
or fingerprints.
LD discs only
Put the
disc
into
the
protective
envelope, then place it on a flat desk
top. Subsequently, place a flat board
e.g. glass plate on the disc, and load it
with about 4 —5 kgs (about 10 lbs). If
it is left in this state for one day,
sometimes the warp will be alleviated.
