• The equipment that you bought has required the extraction and use of natural resources for its
production. It may contain hazardous substances that could impact health and the environment.
• In order to avoid the dissemination of those substances into our environment and to diminish the
pressure on the natural resources, we encourage you to use the appropriate take-back systems. Those
systems will reuse or recycle most of the materials of your end-of-life equipment in a sound way.

MAINTENANCE AND FUNCTIONAL CHECKS
WARNING: The Cook Doppler Blood Flow Monitor System (DP-M350) must only be returned to and repaired
by Cook personnel at an authorized Cook facility. Should the Cook Doppler Blood Flow Monitor System
(DP-M350) require repair, contact Cook or your Cook Medical Distributor for information on returning the
device for repair.
WARNING: If required, the DP-M350 lithium-ion battery pack replacement must be performed only by
trained Cook personnel at an authorized Cook repair facility, as incorrect replacement could result in an
unacceptable risk to untrained personnel, the monitor or the surrounding environment.
WARNING: The Cook Doppler Blood Flow Monitor System (DP-M350) contains no user serviceable
components and requires no maintenance or calibration.
WARNING: To isolate equipment from mains remove the battery charger from the AC mains
socket.
TEST MODE (TEST BUTTON)
The Test Button is to be depressed (as stated in the suggested INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE), prior to use of the
unit to verify its proper operation. If, while the Test Button is depressed, no sound /tone is produced and
the monitor is properly powered, replace the monitor as it may require repair at Cook. Contact Cook or your
Cook Medical distributor for information on returning the device for repair.
Doppler Blood Flow Monitor Channel/Cable Verifier
The Channel/Cable Verifier, DP-MCV01, is provided to allow for real-time bedside testing of the Cook
Doppler Blood Flow Monitor individually or while the monitor is connected to a Cook Extension Cable. Use
is recommended if function problems have not been resolved at the probe site by maneuvering the patient
and/or palpating near the probe. It is suggested that the system be tested using the following two-step
approach.
