2. ALC
ALC, abbreviation for "Automatic Level Control", is an operation where an excess input above a specified
level ts restrained to the specified level. It is a function to avoid a bad influence such as deterioration of
sound quality by saturation of audio head when such excess input can be recorded as it is.
ALC is programmed to operate at — 8dB by R620 as shown in Fig. 3-7 in this unit.
