Insert the DVD-RAM disc you wish to format into the DVD-RAM drive.
From
the
Start
menu,
select
[Programs]—[Format
UDF!j-
[Format UDF!].
Format UDF! utility starts.
Select the DVD-RAM
drive which contains the DVD-RAM
media by
selecting its SCSI ID:
A. From the Adapter combo box, select the SCSI host adaptor which
the DVD-RAM drive is connected to.
B. Select the ID corresponding to the DVD-RAM drive.
eThe DVD-RAM's SCSI ID is automatically selected if it is the only device connected to the specified
SCSI host adaptor.
eÄs you move the mouse pointer over the SCSI ID's, the corresponding device's information will
appear at the bottom of the Format UDF! dialog box. When the mouse pointer is over the DVD-
RAM's SCSI ID, the information will read "Device Manufacturer: 'MATSHITA',
Model of Device:
PD-2 LF-D100".
