Bleeding/Flushing (ES):
The air in the Bestmax Water Optimisation System (BWS) must be removed before
commissioning. Depending on installation, there are various options for this:
Option 1: Bleeding/Flushing via the Equipment (Coffee Machine)
A If the downstream equipment (coffee machine) has a function for commission-
ing filter cartridges, please follow the menu instructions in the display.
Please read the Operating Instructions of the equipment!
B Alternatively, the BWS can be bled with some equipment via the continued
drawing of hot water below.
7 Guarantee
In the event of a fault during the guarantee period, please contact your contracting
partner citing the filter cartridge type.
8 Operator Duties
You have bought a long-life and service-friendly product. But every technical appli-
ance needs regular service work to maintain perfect function.
Drinking water is a foodstuff. Hygienic care when conducting the work should
therefore be a matter of course.
Check for leaks: daily
Replacing the filter cartridge: recommended after 6 months,
Replacing the wearing parts
Replacing the sealing elements: every 3 years
Replacing the reinforced hoses: every 5 years
Typical service life
Filter cartridge: Replace after 6-12 months
Filter head: Replacement after 5 years recommended (see installation place)
According to DIN 1988 the wearing parts must be replaced by specialist staff
(specialist dealer or customer service). There is no need for maintenance if the filter
cartridges are replaced regularly.
Option 2: Bleeding/Flushing via Outlet Hose
If Option 1 is not possible due to the installation,
the BWS can be bled via the outlet hose. To do
this, loosen the outlet hose from the equipment
(e.g.: coffee machine). Put the end in a contain-
er (min. 3 litres). Bleed the BWS by turning on
the water supply. Then fit the outlet hose to the
equipment again.
