14.1
Preparing for storage
If the product will not be used for a period of more than
30 days, the following measures must be taken to pre-
pare it for storage.
1. Empty the fuel tank using a petrol extraction pump.
2. Start the engine and let it run until the remaining fuel
is used up.
3. Change the oil at the end of every season.
4. Remove the spark plug connector from the spark
plug.
5. Fill the cylinder with approx. 20 ml of oil from an oil
can.
6. Pull the pull starter slowly so that the oil protects the
inside of the cylinder.
7. Clean the entire product to protect the paint.
14.2
Drain fuel with a petrol extraction
pump (Fig. 8)
In case of storage over a longer period of time, the fuel
must be drained.
1. Unscrew and remove the fuel filler cap (3).
2. Remove the fuel filter insert (17).
3. Push the fuel extraction pump's hose into the fuel
tank (4) and use the fuel extraction pump to drain the
fuel completely.
4. Reinsert the fuel filter insert (17).
5. Retighten the fuel filler cap (3).
15 Repair & ordering spare parts
After repairs or maintenance, make sure that all safety-
related parts are installed and are in perfect condition.
All parts which may cause injury must be kept where
they are inaccessible to children or others.
ATTENTION
According to the German Product Liability Act, no lia-
bility is accepted for damage caused by improper re-
pairs or by not using original spare parts.
Such work should be performed by a customer service
centre or an authorised specialists. The same applies
to accessory parts.

NOTE
Important note in the case of repairs
When returning the product for repair, for safety rea-
sons, ensure that it is free of oil and fuel when it is
sent to the service centre.

Service information
With this product, it is necessary to note that the follow-
ing parts are subject to natural or usage-related wear, or
that the following parts are required as consumables.
Wearing parts*: Feet, wheels, rubber lip, filling funnel
rubber cloth, catch basket, safety switch, blade, blade
screws, counter-blade
* Not included in the scope of delivery!
16 Disposal and recycling
Notes for packaging
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for
more details of how to dispose of your worn-out
electrical devices.
Fuels and oils
• Before disposing of the unit, the fuel tank and the
motor oil tank must be emptied!
• Fuel and motor oil do not belong in household waste
or drains, but must be collected or disposed of sepa-
rately!
• Empty oil and fuel tanks must be disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner.
