4. Now pull the pull starter (22) slowly several times so
that fuel can flow from the fuel tank (4) to the engine
(5).
5. Start the engine (5) by pulling the pull starter (22)
quickly. If the engine (5) does not start, repeat the
process.
6. Let the engine (5) warm up for several seconds.
7. Turn the choke lever (19) to the "OFF" position slow-
ly.
8. Use the throttle to set the required speed (21).
– MIN position, "tortoise"
– MAX position, "hare"
9. If the engine (5) does not start even after several at-
tempts, read the " Troubleshooting" chapter.

Switching the engine (5) off
(Fig. 9)
Note:
Allow the product to run for a short time (approx. 30 sec-
onds) switching it off so that the engine can cool down.
1. Use the throttle (21) to set the speed to MIN, "tor-
toise".
2. Turn the on/off switch (18) to "OFF".
3. Set the fuel valve (20) to the "OFF" position.

Automatic oil cut-off
Note:
The automatic oil cut-off system responds when there is
too little engine oil.
1. If the oil level is too low, top up the oil as described
in 9.1.
2. Start the engine (5) as described in 10.1.
11 Cleaning
WARNING
There is a risk of accident! Always carry out
cleaning work when the engine is switched
off. There is a danger of injury! Let the prod-
uct cool down before cleaning. Elements of
the engine are hot. There is a danger of inju-
ry and burning!
The product can start unexpectedly and cause inju-
ries.
Switch the engine off before cleaning.
Remove the spark plug connector from the spark
plug.
Allow the engine to cool down.
Note:
Place the product on a level, even surface.

ATTENTION
Never use a high-pressure cleaner to clean
your product.
The use of high-pressure cleaners shortens
the service life and reduces the ease of
maintenance.
• Keep protective devices, air vents and the motor
housing as free of dust and dirt as possible. Rub the
product clean with a clean cloth or blow it off with
compressed air at low pressure. We recommend that
you clean the product directly after every use.
• We recommend that you clean the product directly

• Clean the product at regular intervals using a damp
cloth and a little soft soap. Do not use any cleaning
products or solvents; they could attack the plastic
parts of the product. Make sure that no water can
penetrate the product interior.
Tool required:
* Not included in the scope of delivery!
• Open-ended spanner/socket spanner, size 10 mm*
• Socket spanner with extension, size 16 mm*
• Copper wire brush*
• Compressed air*
• Fuel extraction pump*

Removing blockages and
shredded material residues from
the cutter disc (23) (Fig. 1, 11)
1. Disassemble the feed funnel (2) and remove the
feed funnel rubber seal (H). Use a size 10 open-end-
ed spanner/socket spanner to remove the M6x16mm
screws (I).
2. Remove the cover (13) from the shredding unit (12).
3. You can use the hexagon on the shredding unit (12)
to turn the cutter disc (23) so that the blade screws
(24) are well accessible. Use a socket spanner with
extension, size 16.
4. Clean inside the product and the cutter disc (23) with
compressed air in order to remove shredded materi-
al residues.
5. Fit the feed funnel (2) with the feed funnel rubber
seal (H) as described in 8.3.
ATTENTION
Remove the socket spanner with extension
from the hexagon on the shredding unit.
