1. Wichtige Hinweise
Lesen Sie vor der ersten Benutzung des Pro-
duktes bzw. dessen Einbau diese Anleitung kom-
plett und aufmerksam durch. Bewahren Sie diese
Anleitung auf. Sie ist Teil des Produktes.
Das Produkt richtig verwenden
Das Produkt darf ausschließlich dieser Anleitung
gemäß verwendet werden. Dieser Decoder ist
bestimmt
• zum Einbau in eine Modelleisenbahn-Lokomo-
tive mit Gleichstrommotor
• zum Betrieb mit einer Digitalzentrale, welche
die Digitalsysteme Märklin-Motorola und /
oder NMRA-DCC verwendet
• zum Betrieb in trockenen Räumen.
Jeder darüber hinausgehende Gebrauch gilt als
nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Für daraus resultie-
rende Schäden haftet der Hersteller nicht.
2. Inhalt
Beachten Sie:
Der Decoder ist mit integrierten Schaltkrei-
sen (ICs) bestückt. Diese sind empfindlich
gegen elektrostatische Aufladung. Berüh-
ren Sie daher den Decoder nicht, bevor Sie
sich „entladen" haben. Dazu reicht z.B. ein
Griff an einen Heizkörper.
Packungsinhalt überprüfen
Kontrollieren Sie nach dem Auspacken den Liefer-
umfang auf Vollständigkeit:
► Decoder 5242 mit Anschlusskabel
oder Decoder 5243 mit NEM 651-Stecker,
► diese Anleitung.
Produktionsbedingt kann es vorkommen, dass die
Platine nicht komplett bestückt ist. Dies ist kein
Mangel.
3. Funktionen
Programmierung der Funktionen:
Die Funktionen des Decoders richten Sie
über die CV- oder Registerprogrammierung
ein. Sämtliche Einstellmöglichkeiten finden
Sie in Kapitel 6.
Ansteuerung im Digitalbetrieb
Dieser Lokdecoder ist ein Multiprotokoll-Decoder,
der sowohl Signale im DCC-Format als auch im
Motorola-Format auswertet. Er erkennt automa-

Using the product for its correct
purpose
This product must only be used as required in
this manual. This digital loco decoder is intended
• for installation in model railroad locomotions
with DC motor
• for operation with a digital command station,
which uses the digital formats NMRA-DCC or
Märklin-Motorola
• for operation in a dry area.
Using the product for any other purpose is not
approved and is considered incorrect. The
manufacturer cannot be held responsible for
any damage resulting from the improper use of
this product.
2. Content
Caution:
Integrated circuits (ICs) are inserted on the
decoder. They are sensitive to static elec-
tricity. Do not touch components without
first discharging yourself. Touching a radia-
tor or other grounded metal part will dis-
charge you.
Checking the package contents
Check the contents of the package for complete-
ness after unpacking:
► Decoder 5242 with connecting wires
or decoder 5243 with NEM 651 interface con-
nector
► this manual.
N.B. For technical reasons it is possible that the
PCB is not completely inserted. This is not a fault.
3. Functions
Programming the functions:
Please program the functions of the decod-
er by CV or registerprogramming. Chapter
6 shows a table with a complete overview
of the possibilities.
