• Each month, turn on the cock and the valve on the safety assembly to prevent scaling and
possible blockage. Plan to replace the safety assembly every 5 years at the most, and
beforehand if necessary.
• The appliance and its safety assembly must be installed in a place protected from frost.
To enable maintenance operations, the following must be provided:
➢ Free space of 50 cm in front of and below the cover to allow access to the electrical
components
➢ Direct access to the safety assembly
• As a precaution, if away from the premises, the user must close the hydraulic circuits, cut
the electricity supply, and drain the appliance.
➢ Cut the electricity supply before performing any work on the appliance.
➢ Shut off the cold water supply upstream of the appliance.
➢ Open a hot water tap to create suction.
➢ Open the drain valve on the safety assembly. Water will flow out of the drainage hole.
• To prevent burns, install suitable mixers to ensure that the water temperature does not
exceed 50°C at the drawing points and 60°C in the kitchen.
• Recommendation for installation in a bathroom:
Water heater installations in bathrooms must be adapted in line with applicable national
regulations and standards (for example, NFC 15-100, RGIE).
• The installation must have an all-pole switch with an opening contact distance of 3 mm.
The circuit must be protected by fuses or a circuit breaker calibrated in accordance with the
power of the water heater.
The electric water heater must be connected in accordance with European standards. In all
cases, the connections must comply with applicable national regulations.
The line must be protected by a 30 mA differential circuit breaker.
• The electrical connection of a fixed appliance must be carried out using a rigid cable with
a cross-section that is correctly dimensioned and with a green/yellow earth conductor.
Please refer to current national regulations for electrical installations. The minimum
requirement is 3 x 2.5 mm² (single-phase) and 4 x 2.5 mm² (three-phase) with a power of
up to 3,000 W.
• Caution! The appliance must be earthed.
Never use piping for an earth connection.
• If this appliance has rechargeable batteries, they must be removed from the appliance
before the appliance is scrapped and must be disposed of safely. These batteries must be
removed from their mount in the battery case that is accessible under the plastic cover.
• The manufacturer does not accept any liability for damage to persons, animals, or
property due to an installation that does not comply with regulations or resulting from failure
to comply with applicable standards and the stipulations of this manual.
