Setting the rudder centre (Rud-C)
This parameter is used to set the rudder position in which the vessel adopts a straight course.
Make the setting as follows:
Pressing the "ENTER" key sets the rudder centre. On the display unit, the pointer in the lower part of the
scale (RUDDER) moves to the zero position.
If the pointer does not move to the zero position, the rudder position sensor is not correctly adjusted (see
"Installation of the rudder position sensor" in the installation instructions for the autopilot computer module).
The "Rud-C" parameter must be set before "Rud-L" is set.
Setting the rudder limit (Rud-L)
This setting determines the rudder limit. This is the maximum angle which the rudder can reach. The value
for the rudder limit can be set on a scale of 1 to 10.
Set the rudder limit as follows:
The higher the value selected for the rudder limit, the greater the deflection of the rudder.
In order to prevent the rudder system from being pressed onto a mechanical stop, start the settings
with small values (e.g. 2).
The settings for Rud C and Rud L become effective immediately, but still have to be permanently saved. See
page 17, Save function.

Move the rudder into the central position manually.
