THE STARTING POINT IS DIFFERENT WHEN USING
COMBINED FILTERS.
UNDER EXTREME CONDITIONS, UP TO TWO
LED´S MAY LIGHT UP WHEN USED WITH BRAND NEW
COMBINATION FILTERS AND AN AIRFLOW OF 210 LPM.
Filter is reaching its maximum clogging capacity (picture annex 1.2)
Maximum clogging. The PAPR is not able to provide the desired air flow.
The PAPR will switch to the lower air flow if possible. (picture annex 1.3)
Air flow level (picture annex 1.4)
The chosen air flow is signalized by the LED line in the middle of the con-
trol panel. One illuminated diode indicates the minimum air flow, four illu-
minated diodes indicate the maximum air flow.
Battery charge
The current level of battery charge is indicated by the bottom LED line.
Four illuminated LEDs indicate battery charge > 75% picture annex 1.5.1).
Three illuminated LEDs indicate battery charge > 50% (picture annex
1.5.2).
Two illuminated LEDs indicate battery charge > 25% (picture annex 1.5.3).
One illuminated LED indicates battery charge < 25%, remaining running
time is more than 10 min (picture annex 1.5.4).
Remaining running time is less than 10 min (picture annex 1.5.5).
Battery is almost drained (picture annex 1.5.6).
Before use
3.4. Check before each use
Make sure that:
• all components are in order, without any visible impairment or damage
(in particular no cracks, holes or leaks should appear). Replace dam-
aged and worn parts. Make sure the air hose and sealing elements are
in a good condition;
• the hose is connected to both the PAPR unit and the headtop correctly;
• after the PAPR unit is switched on, air is supplied to the headtop;
• there is a sufficient air flow in the hose (Section 3.5.).
Charge the battery before using the PAPR for the first time, see Section
5.2.1.
3.5. Air flow test
1.
Disconnect the air hose from the PAPR unit.
2.
Connect the air flow indicator to the unit.
3.
Switch on the PAPR unit. The flow rate is insufficient if the top edge
of the cone is in the red zone. Then, the filter must be replaced. If the
fault persists, follow the instructions for troubleshooting.
4. Maintenance and cleaning
Each time you have finished working with the CleanAIR
and check each component and replace damaged parts.
• Cleaning must be done in a well-ventilated room. Avoid inhaling harmful
dust deposited on individual parts of the filtration unit and accessories!
• Never use cleaning agents with solvents or abrasive cleaning agents.
• The external surface of the PAPR unit can be cleaned with a soft cloth
dampened in water with a common dish detergent. After cleaning, wipe
all parts dry.
• Neither water nor any other liquid should enter the PAPR!
• The air hose, after being disconnected from the unit, can be rinsed with
clean water.
5. Spare parts and their replacement
5.1. FILTER
As standard, the CA AerGO
unit is equipped with a highly efficient P R
®
SL particle filter. Even though the status of filter clogging is continuously
signalized by a LED panel and the warning system will be trigerred if the
air flow drops bellow the safe level, the user must perform an air flow test,
as described in Section 4.5, before each use.
Only install new original filters designed for this type of unit.
CLEANING THE FILTER BY USING A COMPRESSED AIR
IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN AS THE PRESSURISED AIR
MAY DAMAGE THE DELICATE STRUCTURES OF THE
FILTER MEDIA!
From the hygiene reasons it is not recommended to use filter for more than
1 month after its first use as microorganisms may proliferate in the filter.
In the CA AerGO
with the particle filter, which
considerably extends the life time of the main filter. A spark arrester can
also be used, which prevents possible
damage to the main filter from flying sparks and welding spatter.
The AerGO
PAPR unit uses a set of two filters. When using the unit, both
®
filters must always be attached to the unit.
5.1.1. Filters replacement
REPLACE THE FILTERS IMMEDIATELLY IF ONE OF THE
FOLLOWING SITUATIONS OCCUR:
• IF YOU NOTICE A CHANGE IN THE SMELL OF THE
INCOMMING AIR
• IF THE FILTER CLOGGING / LOW AIR FLOW ALARM
WAS TRIGGERED
• IF THE BATTERY OPERATION TIME BECOMES TOO
SHORT
The filters are removed from the unit by unscrewing each filter separately
counter-clockwise.
New filters are attached to the unit one after the other by screwing the
filters into the unit body clockwise.
Tighten properly to ensure that the connection is tight.
5.1.2. Pre-filter and spark arrester installation
Remove the pre-filter holder from the filter body by pulling at the lip. Place
the pre-filter and spark arrester in the recess in the filter body (first place
the pre-filter and then the spark arrester, otherwise the spark arrester
will not fulfil its function!). Secure the new pre-filter and spark arrester by
snapping the pre-filter holder.
5.2. BATTERY
IMPORTANT! FOR TECHNICAL REASONS, BATTERIES
ARE NOT FULLY CHARGED WHEN LEAVING THE
MANUFACTURER. THEY ARE SUPPLIED WITH A <30%
CHARGE. THEREFORE ALWAYS FULLY CHARGE
THE BATTERY BEFORE FIRST USE OTHERWISE YOU
HAVE TO COUNT WITH A SHORTER RUNNING TIME.
FOR MAXIMUM BATTERY LIFE AND PERFORMANCE,
FOLLOW THE STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS (SEE SECTION
AerGO
, clean
®
®
7 STORAGE).
5.2.1. Battery charging
• Connect the charger into the 100 - 230 V ~ 50/60 Hz mains. A green
light indicates the power is on.
• Connect the battery to the charger. Charging is indicated by a red light.
• When the red light turns to green, the battery is fully charged.
• Charging time is approx. 4 hours.
• After charging, disconnect the battery from the charger and the charger
from the mains.
WHEN THE BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED, THE
CHARGER SWITCHES TO TRICKLE CHARGING
MODE TO KEEP THE BATTERY FULLY CHARGED. IT
IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO LEAVE THE CHARGER
CONNECTED TO THE MAINS WHEN NOT IN USE.
5.2.2. Battery replacement
Hold the PAPR by both hands with the battery facing up and the rear away
from you. With one thumb release the latch holding the battery in the lock
position and at the same time take the battery out of the unit body with
your other hand.
unit, a pre-filter for filtering coarse particles can be used
