5.3 Connecting the radio unit to a measuring instrument

1. Disconnect the radio unit from the external power supply / battery supply after
successful configuration. The selected radio unit configuration is saved.
2. Connect the radio unit to a measuring instrument
→ For the version with an external power supply, connect the measuring instrument to
the end of the connector without colour-coding.
→ For connections with open cable ends, see "Pin assignment of free cable ends" in
chapter 9 "Specifications".
3. Ensure that the power supply to the radio unit is restored. The radio unit restarts with
the settings made previously.

1. Connect the radio unit to the end of the
short Y-cable (marked blue).
2. Connect the (red-marked) connector to
the external power supply.
The supply voltage should not exceed or
drop below the voltage range mentioned
in chapter 9 "Specifications", in order to
ensure trouble-free operation. It may be
necessary to provide a separate fuse for
the radio unit.
The version of the radio unit with an exter-
nal power supply does not have a built-in
battery. Similar to the version with battery,
the case can be opened to check the
status of the LED.
