5. Commissioning, operation

Only use original parts, see chapter 10 "Accessories and spare parts".

Check the radio unit for any damage that may have been caused. Obvious damage

must be reported immediately.

First commission the radio unit without any measuring instrument connect-

ed. The configuration with the appropriate WIKA sensor must be carried out

in advance, in order to avoid damage to the measuring instrument or the

radio unit.

Depending on the version of the radio unit, the power supply is established via the inter-

nal battery or the enclosed Y-cable.

In as-delivered condition, the battery is not

connected to the electronics.

7.2 "Battery handling":

1. Open the case as required by the

version of the radio unit - a bayonet

lock (plastic version) or a screw-on lid

(metal version) is fitted. To do this, grip

the upper and lower sides of the instru-

ment with your hands and turn them as

shown by the marking on the cover.

2. Plug in the battery connector and snap

it into place (⇒ LED lights up).

3. Put the case on and close it. To do this,

grip the upper and lower sides of the

instrument with your hands and turn

them in opposite directions as shown

by the marking on the cover.
