FAULT FINDING

If your telephone does not work properly, first read the operating instructions. Make sure
that the mains power supply and the telephone cable are correctly connected. Remove all
other telephones, answering machines and faxes that may be connected. If your telephone
now works correctly, the other equipment connected should be checked.
The telephone does not work
Have you connected the power supply correctly?
Have you connected the telephone cable correctly?
Are you using the telephone cable supplied?
Are the handset batteries charged?
Connect another telephone to the telephone socket. If this telephone does not work
either, contact your telephone service provider.
You hear warning tones during a call
The batteries are exhausted (please recharge for 15 hours).
You are no longer within range of the base station.
No dialling tone on the handset
Have you charged the batteries for 15 hours?
Is the base station connected to the power supply?
Is the telephone cable connected correctly?
The base station rings before the handset
This is normal with cordless telephones.
The call cannot be answered on the handset when the base station rings
This occurs with any cordless telephone where the call first has to be transferred to the
handset. This can take some time. Wait until the handset rings and then answer the call.
The handset does not ring
The ringer may have been switched off.
