19. Open the fitting with an authorised card (e.g. a
demo card set).

The transmission function in a lock allows the latch on
the outer side of the door to be retracted with the
"key". This function is required if, for example, no
handle is used on the outer side of the door, but a rigid
thumb turn is used instead, for example. The latch
actuation function therefore provides transmission
from the handle to the key.
