3. SELECTION OF INSTALLATION SITE

<Also refer to the installation manual supplied with the indoor unit.>
(1) Select an installation site that meets the following conditions with the consent of the customer.
• A location from which cold (warm) air can spread throughout the room.
• A location where there are no obstructions to the path of airflow.
• A location where certain drainage is possible.
• A location that can withstand the weights of the indoor unit and the UV streamer air purifier unit.
(Insufficient strength may lead to unpleasant chattering noise due to vibration against the ceiling of
the indoor unit and UV streamer air purifier unit.)
• A location without the risk of flammable gas leaks.
• A location where the underside of the ceiling is not significantly tilted.
• A location where workspace for installation and service can be secured.
• Do not install in places that require a high ceiling mode setting and 2/3 way blow mode setting of the
indoor unit.
(2) When mounting the UV streamer air purifier unit, be sure the air conditioner is set to all-round
airflow.
UV streamer air purifier unit CANNOT be used with other filters, chambers, fresh air intake kits
or air discharge outlet sealing member kit (for selection of 2 or 3 way air blow).
When the UV streamer air purifier unit is installed, air volume, performance and operation sound
of the indoor unit may be altered.
Be sure to remove the pre-filter from the decoration panel when operating the UV streamer air
purifier unit.
CAUTION
Install the indoor and outdoor units, the UV streamer air purifier unit, and the power supply and inter-unit
wiring at least 1 m away from televisions and radios. Failure to do so may result in picture interference
and noise.
(However, depending on the radio waves, a distance of 1 m may not be sufficient to eliminate noise.)
