12. MAINTENANCE

WARNING
For service and maintenance workers
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, IGNITION, OR FIRE
• When inspecting electrical components (electrical component boxes, streamer units, uv units,
etc.), always shut off all power supplies to air conditioners (both indoor and outdoor units).
• Be sure to remove this product when cleaning the heat exchanger.
(If water or cleaning liquid is splashed on it, the components may burnout due to insulation
degradation.)
BEWARE OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
• Shut off all power sources before starting work.
• To prevent electric shock from residual voltage, do not open the electrical component box for
1 minutes after turning off the power.
• After opening the electrical component box lid, while taking care to not touch the charging area,
take measurements at the points to the right on the printed circuit board with a tester and check
that the residual voltage is 50V DC or less.
• Check the residual voltage of the indoor unit according to the instructions. (Refer to Figure 27.)
