son as to how the device is used and
any resulting risks. Children may not
play with this device. Cleaning and user
maintenance may not be carried out by
unsupervised children.
• The device may only be used, if it is in
flawless working order. If the device or
a part of it is faulty, it must be decom-
missioned and repair professionally or
disposed of.

• The device may only be connected to a
socket with a properly installed safety
contact.
• The device must be secured with a
residual current operated circuit-
breaker (FI switch) with a rated residual
current of no more than 30 mA.
• Before connecting the device, make
sure that the power supply unit corre-
sponds to the connection data of the
device.
• The device may only be used within the
defined voltage and output limits (see
type plate).
• Do not touch the mains adapter with
wet hands! Always remove the power
cable by pulling the plug not the cable.
• Do not bend, crush, pull or drive over a
power cable; protect against sharp
edges, oil and heat.
• Do not lift the device via the cable or
use the cable for any other purpose.
• Check the plug and cable every time
before use.
• If the power cable is damaged, always
disconnect from the mains supply.
Never operate the device with a dam-
aged power cable.
• Always disconnect the mains plug, if the
device is not in use.
Handling battery-operated devices
• Only use batteries that have been
approved by the manufacturer.
• Fire hazard! Never charge batteries.
• When not in use, keep batteries away
from metal objects as they could cause
a short circuit. This would result in a risk
of injuries and fire.
• Fluids may leak out of the battery when
used improperly. Battery fluids can
cause skin irritation and burns. Contact
must be avoided at all times! In the
event of accidental contact, rinse thor-
oughly with water. In the event of eye
contact, seek medical attention immedi-
ately.
