7 Setting Up the Device

This chapter only describes the control elements
on the device . It is, however, also possible to set
up the device via the corresponding buttons on
the remote control . A brief overview of the func-
tions of the buttons can be found in chapter 6 .

7.1 Switching on for the first time

1) Switch on the device with the button
POWER: The device will boot .
Once booting is completed, the start screen
of the setup wizard will appear:

Start now?
YES
Note: If the device is on standby after booting
(date and time indicated on the display), press the
button STANDBY .
To set up the device via the setup wizard see
chapter 7 .2 . If a menu language other than
English is desired before starting the setup
wizard see chapter 7 .1 .1 .

7.1.1 Changing the menu language

1) To exit the setup wizard (fig . 5), turn the knob
CONTROL SELECT to select the command
button and press the knob to confirm .

2) The following prompt will appear:

Do you want the start screen of the setup
wizard to appear again the next time you
switch on the device with the switch POWER?
If you do, confirm with

Note: The setup wizard can be called up at any
time via the menu for the system settings .
3) The main menu will appear . Turn the knob

4) Select the row
language menu will appear . The language
selected is marked with an asterisk

5) Select the language desired and confirm . The
following languages are available: English,
Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German,
Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese,
Spanish, Swedish, Turkish .
Once the language has been confirmed,
the menu for the system settings will appear
in the language selected .
6) To start the setup wizard after changing the
menu language, select the corresponding
row for the setup wizard in the menu for
the system settings and confirm: The start
screen of the setup wizard will appear, and
the device can be set up (
