8.3 Operating mode "Music Player"

In the operating mode "Music player", MP3
files can be played from a USB storage medium
(USB hard disk with individual power supply or
USB flash drive) .
Note: Due to the large number of storage device
manufacturers and device drivers, it cannot be guar-
anteed that all storage media are compatible with
WAP-204RS .
Press the button MODE repeatedly until
appears . Then the menu for the mode

1) Connect the USB storage medium to the
USB port . When a USB storage medium is
connected to the port, the following confir-
mation prompt will appear:

Open folder?

is selected . To call up the USB storage

medium, press the knob CONTROL SELECT .
A USB storage medium connected can also
be called up in the menu
When the menu is called up, the menu item
is selected . To call it up, press

Turn the knob CONTROL SELECT to select a
title and then press the knob to start the title .
To select a title from a folder (marked with

"), turn the knob to select the folder and

then press the knob to call up the folder . In
the folder, select and play the title desired .
3) To return to the previous selection level in the
menu, turn the knob CONTROL SELECT or
press the button BACK . From this level, it is
possible to select a different title or, by means
of the button BACK, to go back further in
the menu .

8.3.1 Creating and playing a playlist

A playlist can be created allowing you to play
specific titles from different folders .
Note: The playlist will be deleted when the device
is switched off, but it will not be deleted when the
device is switched to standby .
1) To add a title to the playlist: While playing
the title or when the title is selected, keep
the button CONTROL SELECT pressed until
the following message appears:
Added to My playlist
To add all titles of a folder to the playlist,
select the folder and keep the button pressed
until the message shown above appears .
If the folder has subfolders, the titles of the
subfolders will also be added to the playlist .
Note: The playlist does not have a folder structure;
the titles will be added to the playlist one after
the other .
2) To start the playlist, press the button MENU
(the menu in fig . 37 will appear) and call up
the list via the row
