7 Setting up a Transmission Path

1) Set the transmission frequency on the receiver
(
 chapter 6 1 or 6 2) If the transmitter is
still switched off and the LED bar graph RF
(3) indicates reception, interference signals or
signals from another wireless transmitter are
received In this case, use a different transmis-
sion frequency
2) Switch on the transmitter and set it to the
transmission frequency of the receiver (
structions of the transmitter) The LED bar
graph RF indicates the strength of the radio
signal
For detailed information on the display
indications refer to the overview in chapter 1
3) Speak /Sing into the microphone of the trans-
mitter or, when picking up the sound of an
instrument, feed audio signals to the micro-
phone Use the volume control (2) to match
the output level of the receiver to the input of
the subsequent unit
The LED bar graph AF (4) indicates the
volume level of the transmitter Adjust the level
on the transmitter, if necessary (
of the transmitter)
In case of no reception or poor reception, please
check the following items:
– Are the batteries of the transmitter discharged?
The receiver indicates the battery status of the
transmitter:

– Are there any objects interfering with recep-
tion in the transmission path?
Keep the transmitter and the receiver at a min-
imum distance of 50 cm from any metal ob-
jects or possible sources of interference (e g
electric motors, fluorescent lamps)
– Is it possible to improve the reception quality
by turning the receiving antennas?
– Is the transmission power of the transmitter too
low (
