Troubleshooting table
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a
defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you can correct the
malfunction.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
■ Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. In case of improper repairs, you
may endanger yourself and others using the appliance later. Only authorised spe-
cialists are allowed to carry out these repairs.
Problem
Display is not working,
appliance does not operate.
Appliance door cannot be
closed properly.
The cooking chamber light
does not work.
Cooking chamber light is
dimmed.
The turntable does not turn or
does not turn properly.
Scratching, grinding sounds
in the cooking chamber.
Exploding, popping sounds in
the cooking chamber.
Other noises or flashes of
light in the cooking chamber.
The dish is cooked unevenly.
Possible cause
No electricity to socket.
Mains plug is loose.
Foreign bodies on the door
seal faces.
Appliance door is broken or
the door lock is defective.
Lamp defective.
In microwave operation with
low power, it is possible that
the cooking chamber lighting
is reduced.
The turntable is not correctly
positioned on the drive motor.
The cooking chamber floor is
dirty.
The food dish is either
too large or is positioned
incorrectly.
The dish is being cooked
and/or defrosted with too
much power, and will burst
open.
Sparks – metal objects in the
cooking chamber!
The dish was not sufficiently
rotated or stirred.
Solutions, tips
Check the socket by
connecting another
appliance.
Check the tightness of the
mains plug.
Clean the door seals
thoroughly.
Have the appliance door
repaired. Do not use the
appliance!
Contact our service
department (see "Service" on
page EN-34).
This is not a fault.
Position the turntable
correctly.
Clean the cooking chamber
floor thoroughly.
The container may not
protrude over the edge of the
turntable.
Cancel the setting and
reselect a lower power level.
Pierce or cut into the food if
necessary.
Switch off the appliance
immediately and then remove
any metallic objects.
Stir or rotate the food dish,
and allow it to heat up a little
more.
