Troubleshooting table

Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a
defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you can correct the
malfunction.
Not faults:
What can happen
There is interference with radio or television
reception when the microwave is in use.
The interior lighting becomes darker.
Steam escapes from the appliance door; hot
air escapes from the ventilation openings.
The appliance produces odours.

Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. You can put your own and future
users' lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to carry out this re-
pair work.

Explanation
Operating the microwave can disturb the
reception of radio or television programmes.
This is similar to interference caused by
smaller household appliances, such as
mixers, vacuum cleaners or hair dryers.
When you are using the microwave at a
higher power level, the interior lighting may
become darker.
When you are cooking, steam may be
released from the food. The largest proportion
of the moisture will come out of the ventilation
openings of the appliance.
This happens when the grill heating elements
are used for the first time.
Solutions, tips
Check by connecting another appliance.
Close the appliance door properly.
Check the tightness of the mains plug.
Close appliance door properly.
Clean the door seals thoroughly.
