Troubleshooting table
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a
defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you can correct the
malfunction.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock in case of improper repair!
■ Never try to repair the appliance yourself. You can put your own and future users'
lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to carry out this repair work.
Problem
Appliance will not start.
Cooking chamber
door cannot be closed
properly.
The cooking chamber
light does not work.
The turntable does not
turn or does not turn
properly.
Scratching, grinding
sounds in the cooking
chamber.
Exploding, popping
sounds in the cooking
chamber.
Other noises or flashes
of light in the cooking
chamber.
The dish is cooked
unevenly.
The dish does not get
sufficiently hot.
The appliance emits
odours.
Cooking chamber door
and/or viewing window
steams up.
Possible cause
No electricity to socket.
Mains plug is loose.
Foreign bodies on the cooking
chamber door sealing surfaces.
The cooking chamber door
is warped or the door lock is
defective.
Lamp defective.
The turntable is not correctly
positioned on the drive motor.
The cooking chamber floor is
dirty.
Turntable does not rotate
properly.
The food dish is either too large
or is positioned incorrectly.
The dish is being cooked and/or
defrosted with too much power,
and will burst open.
Sparks – metal objects in the
cooking chamber!
The dish was not sufficiently
rotated or stirred.
The power or time is set too low.
The dish was very cold when
being placed inside.
Container is unsuitable if it
becomes hotter than the dish.
This happens the first time the
appliance is used.
The dish releases moisture.

Solutions, tips
Plug another appliance into the
same socket.
Check the tightness of the mains
plug.
Clean the cooking chamber door
sealing surfaces thoroughly.
Have the cooking chamber
door repaired. Do not use the
appliance!

Position the turntable correctly.
Clean the cooking chamber floor
thoroughly.
Position the turntable correctly.
The container may not protrude
over the edge of the turntable.
Cancel the setting and reselect a
lower power level.
Switch off the appliance
immediately and then remove any
metallic objects.
Stir or rotate the food dish, and
allow it to heat up a little more.
Heat the dish for a little more time
in the appliance.
Use a suitable container.
No error. Odours will dissipate
during operation.
No error. Simply wipe away any
moisture after operation.
