Electrical connections
• Please check whether the appliance's sup-
ply voltage is compatible with the supply
voltage used in your house (please see the
type plate).
• Please ensure you only connect the ap-
pliance to a professionally installed pro-
tective contact socket with sufficient fuse
protection (see "Technical specifications"
on page EN-37).
• The power socket must be located away
from the rear of the microwave oven, other-
wise the mains plug will be in contact with
the backplate.
• Do not use any multiplugs, extension ca-
bles, timer switches or remote control sys-
tems.
After you have connected the mains plug to
the socket, a beep will sound and the dis-
play (7) will light up.
Setting the time
During start-up and after a power cut, you will
have to set the time. Otherwise the appliance
will not work.
The appliance is always in 24-hour
mode and can therefore not be
changed to 12-hour mode.
1. Select the function indicator
the "Confirm/Start" control dial (14).
The function indicator will flash.
2. Press the "Confirm/Start" control dial (14).
The top two digits will start flashing on
the display (7).
3. Set the number of hours using the "Con-
firm/Start" control dial (14), and press the
"Confirm/Start" control dial (14) again.
The bottom two digits will start to flash.
4. Set the number of minutes using the "Con-
firm/Start" control dial (14), and press the
"Confirm/Start" control dial (14) again.
The function indicator
time has now been set.
Heating up the appliance for
the first time
A slight odour may be produced during first
use. This is non-toxic and disappears after a
short moment.
• Allow the appliance to run for 10 minutes at
200 °C in convection mode (see "Convec-
tion mode" on page EN-22).
