Failure
(1) The filter pump blows air bubbles into
the aquarium.
(2) The filter cartridges do not turn very
dirty.
(3) The aquarium water contains small
dirt particles. The filtration appears
to be insufficient.

Cause
(a) Water level in the filter is too low.
(b) Due to strong photosynthesis the
oxygen saturation has been exceeded
(growth of algae).
(a) The filter pump is not operational.
(b) The organic load is too low for the
filter system.
(a) The water circulation is not ideal.
(b) The aquarium is highly polluted at
present.
Remedy
(a) The water level regulator is no
longer operational; check the entire
Osmolator.
(b) Improve the ecological balance of
the aquarium.
(a) Check the pump.
(b) The cleaning interval of the quick-
run filter can be extended.
(a) The aquarium should have a circular
flow which passes the dirt particles
to the filter inlet in a better way.
Improve the setting of the flow angle
on the filter.
(b) On account of some organic pollution
(dead inhabitant, et cetera), a quick-
run filter should be placed on the
circulation pump for two to four
days, e.g. Turbelle
®
filter cartridge 800.01.
