6.1 Commissioning the integrated automatic start/stop mechanism

The integrated automatic start/stop mechanism enables the device to be switched on and off automatically.
Once the welding process begins or ends, the device receives a signal and automatically starts or stops the
fume extraction process. The run-on time equals approx. 20 seconds. The mechanism can be activated and
deactivated on the control panel using the <A/Auto> button.

6.2 Mounting the current clamp (optional)

If required by the welding conditions, a current clamp may also be used instead of the integrated start/stop
automatic mechanism. This makes it possible to operate the device in automatic mode. The current clamp is
connected to the device by the 4-pole plug and the earth cable or cable assembly is laid in it. Once the
welding process begins or ends, the device receives a signal and automatically starts or stops the fume
extraction process. The mechanism can be activated and deactivated on the control panel.
Lay the earth cable in the integrated automatic start/

stop mechanism.
Connect the earth cable on one end to the power

source and on the other end to the welding table, for
example.
To switch on the integrated start/stop mechanism,

press the <A/Auto> button.
The <A/Auto> LED illuminates.
Connect the current clamp cable to the current clamp

port.
Lay the current clamp over the earth cable or cable

assembly and ensure that the red point on the current
clamp always points in the direction of the current
flow.
Press the <A/Auto> button on the control panel.
