4. Setup - > thermal capacity
This option is used to set the thermal capacity cpl of the air required for cal-
culating the ventilation loss according to equation 4.1. The thermal capacity
can be set to a value between 0.2 and 0.4 kWh/(kg °C), the default value is
0.279 kWh/(kg °C).
5. Setup -> reference temperature
This option is used to set the outside temperature to be used as reference for
the measured ventilation loss. It can be set to a value between -30 and 70 °C
(default 15 °C).
6. Setup -> 4 Pa duration
This option is used to enter the measurement time required for 4 Pa evalua-
tions. It can be set to a value between 1 and 60 minutes (default 5 minutes).
7. Setup -> Clock
Here you can enter the time and date. When the batteries are removed for
no longer than a minute, the clock does not have to be corrected. When the
batteries are removed for longer, the clock needs only to be put forward by
this time.
8. Setup —> ALPHA
This sets the weighting factor for the averaging function AVG in the form of
Equation (7.1). ALPHA can accept values between 0.01 and 0.99. The lower
the value for ALPHA, the less perceptible are the current fluctuations in the
signal (see also Section 8; 0,01 - 0,99, default 0.15).
9. Setup —> TLOff
Here you enter the calibration number given on the external temperature
sensor's label (10100–10300, default 10187).
10. Setup -> TSoff
This menu option permits to perform an automatic adjustment of the QA
probe, using the internal device temperature as reference temperature. This
function can only be performed if the QA probe is connected to the device.
In addition, it has to be ensured that the temperature of the QA probe corre-
sponds to that of the device. The device first indicates the message "Tem-
perature stable?" and then the difference between the internal temperature
sensor and the QA probe. Press the "Enter" button to take over this difference
as the new correction value for the QA probe.
11. Setup -> Humidity -> Zero offset
Here you can enter the calibration value zero offset. An example zero offset of
0.833 V is given in Figure 3.6 under section 3.5 (0.5 - 1.0 V, Default: 0.780 V)
