3. Signal menu, 4-Pa-test Wöhler DC 100

It is considered that the operating safety is sufficient, if this value does not
drop by more than 4 Pa (with indoor air-independent combustion of solid
fuels: 8 Pa) when the window is opened or closed. Press the "C I/O" button if
you want to cancel the registration during the running test (duration: 5 mi-
nutes). The minimum, the maximum and the differential pressure are indica-
ted on the display. You may then print out the pressure trend as a chart. The
last measurement remains stored in the memory even after switching off the
device, permitting to print out the chart at the office.

When interpreting the recording shown in fig. 3.3, short pressure peaks need
not to be taken into account since they result from the fast movement of the
window and/or door. These peaks are easy to differentiate from the actual
rectangular pressure events. In fig. 3.3 the registered pressure drop is approx.
1.9 Pa.
The following chapter 3 describes the other basic functions of the menu
option "Signal". Press the "±" button once to move the cursor to the menu
option "Signal". Enable the function by pressing the "Enter" button (the cur-
sor starts to flash below "Signal"; see fig. 3.1).
3.2 Pressure measurements
The subprogram Signal is then activated at the ENTER key. The cursor then
flashes and the text "4-PA-test" appears on the display. After the „±"- key
has been pressed, the text „Pressure" appears on the display together with
the unit of measurement „mbar". Now all of the available units can be se-
lected in turn with the ± key and activated at the ENTER key. In this manner
the user can select one of the following five units for the pressure measure-
ment: Pa, hPa, mbar, mm·H 0, psi.

When the menu item Max-precision pressure is selected the resolution rises
to 1/100 Pa in the measuring range from -999.99 hPa to +999.99 hPa! In this
sensitive measuring mode, the smoothing effect can be altered via the ALPHA
