5 .12 Regular technical inspection

The inspection interval shall be determined by the machine designer on the basis of the risk
assessment. However, it is recommended that the emergency stop button is triggered at least
once a year by the responsible safety officer for test purposes and to check the correct function:
- Mechanical and electrical function test in accordance with Para. 5.11
- Safe attachment
- No manipulation and damage are visible
- No loose wire connections

5 .2 Maintenance

Maintenance work is generally not required.
However, regular checks of the electrical and mechanical functions by appropriately trained
and competent personnel are required to ensure proper and lasting function.
Remove contamination on a regular basis. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents, only
use a moist cloth.
Check the condition and tight fit of all installed switches, buttons and display elements at
regular intervals. In case of malfunction or damage, the corresponding components must
be replaced.
According to the intensity of use, the components must be replaced.
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer.

6 . Decommissioning, Disassembly and Disposal

6 .1 Decommissioning

Disconnect the Simplifier BOX from the power supply and disconnect all plug or cable
connections.

6 .2 Disassembly

Disassemble the Simplifier BOX only when it is de-energized.

6 .3 Disposal

Dispose of the Simplifier BOX properly in accordance with national or regional regulations
and laws.
