5 .1 Commissioning

5 .11 Function Test

The Simplifier BOX and all installed switches, buttons and display elements must be checked
before each commissioning. Safety elements (e.g. emergency stop buttons) must be tested
with regard to their safety function. Ensure the following before you start:
• The cable entries and connections are not damaged
• The housing and the installed switches, buttons and display elements are not damaged
• Emergency stop buttons:
- Mechanical inspection: Emergency stop engages when actuated
- Electrical inspection: Machine stops/switches off when actuated
