4.5 Daily Maintenance
•
Check die for wear, especially on the centre 'pip' on an
upsetting die, use a new die for comparison. Clean out
metal deposits.
•
Remove feeding head by loosening the screw and
pulling the head off the shaft in direction indicated.
Attention
When re-assembling do not over tighten
the screw.
•
Check punch for damage, make sure it is straight. Re-
place if necessary.
Attention
A bent punch will damage the feeding me-
chanism and aff ect the riveting quality.
•
Punch can remove by undoing the screw.
•
Depress trigger to advance the shaft only 25 mm.
•
Clean any contamination from the shaft such as swarf
or adhesive and reapply grease.
•
Clean thoroughly inside and check that the 4x
rubber Rivet Guide strips are present and undamaged .
Attention
Missing or warn rivet guide strips way
cause rivets to turn causing damage to the fee-
ding mechanism and aff ecting the riveting qua-
lity .
Check die and punch for wear. Clean out metal deposits.
4.6 Reference as to which spare parts
can be exchanged by the customer
Within the determined use of the tool only the dies
and punches are permitted to be changed by the
customer.
5. Troubleshooting
a.) Constant fl ashing/indicating of the red LED or the
occurence of an acoustical warning signal.
 see table 2. If the failure can not be solved return
the tool to the nearest service center (ASC).
b.) The tool loses oil.
 Return the unit to the manufacturer. Do not open it
and damage the seal of the tool.
c.) The red LED fl ashes 3x and simultaneously 3
acoustic warning signals occure (see table 2).
Serious fault! If this fault occures repeatedly return

the unit to an Autorized Service Center (ASC). Do
not open it and damage the seal of the tool.
