3.4 PC connection
The Ethernet cable with an RJ−45 plug is all that you need for communication
during standard device operation.

The PC is connected to the LAN socket via the Ethernet interface. You can
establish a direct connection between the PC and the device with a crossed
Ethernet cable as well as making a connection via a network, that is, via an
Ethernet switch or hub. You do not need a server, but for a connection via a
network, you must make sure that all the addresses are unique and are in the
same segment. Contact your network administrator if you have any questions.
