Introduction

Thank you for buying the InPro™ X1 HLS pH sensor from METTLER TOLEDO Ingold.
The construction of the METTLER TOLEDO InPro X1 pH sensor employs leading edge technology
and complies with safety regulations currently in force. Notwithstanding this, improper use
could lead to hazards for the user or a third-party, and / or adverse effects on the plant or other
equipment.
Therefore, the operating instructions must be read and understood by the persons in-
volved before work is started with the sensor.
The instruction manual must always be stored close at hand, in a place accessible to all
people working with the sensor. If you have questions that are not answered sufficiently in
this instruction manual, please contact your METTLER TOLEDO supplier. They will be glad to
assist you.
Please read through these operating instructions carefully before commissioning, in order to
ensure trouble-free use. We recommend that you only operate the sensor in conjunction with
original parts from METTLER TOLEDO. Operation and maintenance should be carried out only
by trained personnel and staff who have read and understood the operating instructions.

Safety Instructions

When cleaning or calibrating the sensor using solutions containing acids or alkalis, both
protective spectacles and protective gloves should be worn.
