7. Subnetwork communications wiring
WTC-LEX/-BEX expansion modules
operate on a separate sub-bus linked to the
RJ-45 Subnet connector of the compatible
WTC subnetwork device with a RJ45-RJ45
cable (T568A or T568B).
Two WTC-LEX and two WTC-BEX expansion
modules can be freely combined in a daisy
chain configuration to control up to 8 light
outputs and up to 8 shade / sunblind outputs.

Connection cable

If you make your own patch cable, use Cat5e
cable and crimp the RJ-45 connectors at both
ends of the cable either as T568A or T568B.
Patch cables fitted with connectors supplied by
Carrier Corporation are wired as T568B. Do not
crimp one connector as T568A and crimp the
other connector as T568B on the same cable.

Cable length between each device of the
subnetwork (WTC controller / WTC-LEX/-
BEX expansion modules / RJ-45
Accessories) should not exceed 30 m.
The total max. length of the subnetwork bus
is 180 m.
