6.1.3 MOUNTING THE U TUBE

The U-tube is delivered approx. 5 cm wider at the lower end
than the receptacles, i.e. the tubes are not parallel when
loose. During assembly, the ends of the tubes must be strongly
pressed together.
The purpose of the pre-tensioning is, the U-tube can be folded
down „rattle-free" for space-saving stowage.
Place the U-tube on the U-tube mount of the base frame. Secure the U-tube
with the supplied lock screws (M8 x 60), washers and knob nuts M8. The
knob nuts must be mounted on the inside.
CAUTION
You must tighten both knob nuts very rmly to ensure that
the U-tube is ush against the U-tube mount

6.1.4 MOUNTING THE FRAME HOLDER

Undo the handle screw of the frame holder and rotate out fully. Open the
cu of the frame holder and place the inserts around the U-tube at a po-
sition suitable for your bicycle. Place the cu around the inserts and push
rmly together. Close the frame holder using the handle screw (but do not
tighten).

6.1.5 MOUNTING THE LICENSE PLATE HOLDER

Remove the screws from the lamp mount before installing the license plate
holder and then mount the license plate holder. The license plate holder
must be at the same height as the lights.
Inserting the license plate
The mounting clips for securing the license plate are push-out parts in the
holder. Break out two of the clips. Slide the license plate into the holder,
then push the clips into the cut-outs to secure the license plate.

6.1.6 LAYING THE ELECTRICAL CABLES

Secure the cables of the lights to the underside of the rack using the
supplied cable ties. Make sure that the cables cannot be damaged during
travel.

6.1.7 MOUNTING THE SHORT TENSIONING STRAP

Insert the short tensioning strap from the inside to the outside below the
bike holder and then from the outside to the inside through the slots of the
bike holder (see photo) (see also section 6.3).
