Faulty and/or discarded electrical or electronic
apparatus have to be collected at the appropriate
recycling locations.
Safety Instruction
Instructions for tool operation. Currently valid
regulations must be observed. Split or deformed blades
may not be used. It is not permitted to solder or weld
split blades or to solder in upport parts with hard metal
teeth. The blades may not be slowed down/stopped by
the application of lateral pressure. Carbide tips blades in
which the residual height or thickness is less than 1 mm
may not be used.
Packing/unpacking Tools
Tools must be packed and unpacked with extra care and
caution.

Grinding/maintenance
To maintain quality and safety at work it is necessary to
grind and clean the tools regularly. Blades need to be
resharpened when:
• The wear zone by the blades is greater than 0.2 mm;
note above all the main wear zones!
• Fragmentation on the blades becomes visible
• The surface of the material no longer meets the
desired standards
• The tools become dirty through resin, dust, etc. This
has a detrimental effect on cutting performance.
3. SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR
TWINCUTTER
Always keep hands away from cutting area and
blade.
1. Always keep your second hand on auxiliary handle or
motor housing. With both hands holding the saw
(machine), they cannot be cut by the blades.
2. Always keep your body positioned to either side of
the saw blade, but not in line with the saw blade.
Kickback could cause the saw to jump backwards.
3. Hold the saw firmly to prevent loss of control.
4. Do not reach underneath the work. The guard
cannot protect you from the blade below the work.
Do not attempt to remove cut material when blade is
moving.
5. Always check Active Guard for proper closing
before each use. Do not operate saw if Active Guard
does not move freely and close instantly. Never
clamp or tie the Active Guard into the open position.
If saw is accidentally dropped,Active Guard may be
bent. Raise the Active Guard with the Retracting
Handle and make sure it moves freely and does not

touch the blade or any other part, in all angles and
depths of cut.
6. Check the operation and condition of the active
guard spring. If the guard and the spring are not
operating properly, they must be serviced before
use. Active Guard may operate sluggishly due to
damaged parts, gummy deposits, or a builtup of
debris. Disconnect the plug from power source.
Periodically remove the blade, clean the upper,
Active Guards and the hub area with kerosene and
wipe it dry, or blow it clean with compressed air.
7. The Active Guard should be retracted manually only
for making special cuts such as "Pocket cuts" and
"Compound Cuts". Always Raise Active Guard by
Active Guard Handle Lever. As soon as blade enters
the material, Active Guard must be released. For all
other sawing, the Active Guard should operate
automatically.
8. Always observe that the active guard is covering the
blade before placing saw down on bench or floor. An
unprotected, coasting blade will cause the saw to
jump, cutting whatever is in its path. Be aware of the
time it takes for the blade to stop after switch is
released.
9. Never hold piece being cut in your hands or across
your leg. It is important to support the work
properly to minimize body exposure, blade jamming,
or loss of control.
10. Always hold tool by the insulated gripping surfaces
when performing an operation where the cutting
tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Contact with a "live" wire will also make exposed
metal parts of the tool "live" and shock the operator.
11. When ripping always use a rip fence or straight edge
guide. This improves accuracy of cut and reduces the
chance for blade bending.
12. Do not use normal Carbide blades. Twincutter
blades are specially designed. Normal Blade does
not match the mounting hardware of the saw and will
run eccentrically, causing loss of control.
13. Never use damaged or incorrect blade washers or
bolts. The blade washers, flanges and bolt were
specially designed for your saw, for optimum
performance and safety of operation.
14. Do not run the saw while carrying it in your hand.
Active Guard may be opened by a contact with your
clothing. Accidental contact with the spinning saw
blade could result in serious personal injury.
15. Depending upon use, the switch may not last the life
of the saw. If the switch should fail in the "OFF"
position, the saw may not start. If it should fail while
the saw is running, the saw may not shut off. If either
occurs, unplug the saw immediately and do not use
until repaired.
16. Use rip fence support large panels. Guard against
kickback. Kickback occurs when the saw stalls,
rapidly and is driven back towards the operator.
Release switch immediately if blade binds or saw
stalls. Do not remove saw from work during a cut
while the blade is moving. Do not force tool. Stay
alert, exercise control.
