Alarm or Notice Possible cause
UPS on Battery A utility failure has
(Notice #168) occurred and the UPS
Intermittent Alarm is in Battery mode.
Battery The UPS does not
Disconnected recognize the internal
(Alarm #199) batteries.
Continuous Alarm
The battery voltage is
lower than the batteries
disconnected level that is
defined for this UPS. This
might be because of a
blown fuse, intermittent
battery connection, or a
battery cable is
disconnected.
Low Battery The battery time remain-
Warning ing or battery capacity is
(Alarm #56) lower than the battery low
Intermittent Alarm warning level that is
defined for this UPS.
Shutdown Imminent The communication to
(Alarm #55) external devices stops
Intermittent Alarm because the UPS has
entered a state where it
might abruptly stop
operating without further
notice unless utility power
returns.
Battery Test Failed A weak battery string was
(Alarm #191) detected during the last
Intermittent Alarm battery test.
Remark / Action
The UPS is powering
the equipment with
battery power. Prepare
your equipment for
shutdown.
Make sure that all
batteries are correctly
connected. If the
condition persists,
contact your service
representative.
This warning is
approximate. The actual
time to shutdown might
vary depending on the
UPS load and presence
of an extended battery
module.
The alarm is issued
when the battery time
remaining reaches zero.
All connected devices
should have already
shut down gracefully.
