Tryk på spindellåseknappen med den ene hånd og
stram samtidig spændepatronmøtrikken med den
anden hånd. Drej spændepatronmøtrikken med
uret, først med hånden og derefter med
skruenøglen, indtil boret sidder sikkert fast.
UDSKIFTE EN SPÆNDEPATRON

For at bruge 1/4" diameter boret skal 1/8"
spændepatronen udskiftes med 1/4" spændepatronen,
som er leveret sammen med maskinen.
Gør som følger for at udskifte en spændepatron:
•
Find spindellåseknappen.
•
Tryk på spindellåseknappen med den ene hånd og
løsn samtidig spændepatronmøtrikken med den
anden hånd ved hjælp af skruenøglen. Drej
spændepatronmøtrikken mod uret for at løsne den.
•
Tag det gamle bor ud, hvis der sidder et i.
•
Bliv ved med at løsne spændepatronmøtrikken, indtil
du kan tage den ud af maskinen.
•
Tag spændepatronen ud og sæt en anden i. Se fig. E.
•
Sæt spændepatronmøtrikken på maskinen igen og
drej den med uret. Se fig. E.
Stram ikke spændepatronmøtrikken, når der ikke
sidder et bor i spændepatronen. Det vil gøre
spændepatronhullet mindre, så du ikke kan sætte bor i det i
fremtiden.
•
Sæt et bor i som anvist i "Sætte et bor i".
JUSTERE DYBDESKINNEN

Ved hjælp af dybdeskinnen kan du indstille boringens
dybde. Dybdeskinneenheden består af dybdeskinnen
med en låseknap på hver side og et beslag med en
låseknap.
Gør som følger for at indstille dybdeskinnen:
•
Løsn knapperne på hver side af dybdeskinnen ved at
dreje dem mod uret. Knapperne skal løsnes så
meget, at dybdeskinnen kan glide op og ned.
•
Indstil dybdeskinnen til den ønskede dybde. Vi
anbefaler at indstille skinnen cirka 1/8" større end
materialets tykkelse. Se fig. F.
Borene kan bore i materialer, der er op til 1" tykke.
•
Stram knapperne igen ved at dreje dem med uret.

Gør som følger for at tage dybdeskinneenheden
ud:
•
Løsn låseknappen på dybdeskinnebeslaget, til du kan
tage den ud.
Dette gøres ved at dreje låseknappen mod uret.
•
Fjern låseknappen fra maskinen.
•
Drej hele dybdeskinneenheden cirka 1/8 af en
omgang mod uret. Se fig. G.
•
Træk dybdeskinneenheden lige ud af maskinen. Se fig.
G.

Gør som følger for at sætte dybdeskinneenheden
fast igen:
•
Sæt de takkede områder på dybdeskinnebeslaget ud
for indhakkene i værktøjsmanchetten.
•
Skub dybdeskinneenheden på værktøjsmanchetten.
•
Drej hele dybdeskinneenheden cirka 1/8 af en
omgang med uret.
•
Anbring låseknappen på dybdeskinnebeslaget og
stram det ved at dreje det med uret.

•
Lad kontakten glide hen på [I] for at tænde maskinen.
•
Lad kontakten glide hen på [0] for at slukke

BETJENING
LAVE EN BORING

Brug ikke denne maskine til al lave huller rundt om
et armatur eller en åbning med strømførende
elektriske ledninger eller i en væg, som der kan være
strømførende elektriske ledninger bag. Boret kunne lede
strøm til maskinen og medføre, at operatøren udsættes for en
livsfarlig elektricitetsulykke. Hvis det er uundgåeligt at bore
ind i forhåndenværende vægge eller andre blinde områder, så
afbryd alle sikringer eller afbrydere fra arbejdspladsen. Hold
altid maskinen i dens kasse af termoplastisk materiale.
Sørg for, at spændepatronmøtrikken er sikkert
strammet, før du tænder for maskinen.
Gør således for at lave et hul:
•
Hold godt fast i maskinen og tænd for den.
•
Sæt boret ind i materialet med en vinkel på 45°. Se fig.
I.
Hold maskinen med begge hænder, når du starter.
Torsionskraften fra motoren kan få maskinen til at
vride sig.
Vent et par sekunder, indtil Omnisaven er oppe på fuld
hastighed, før du sætter boret ind i materialet.
Tryk ikke på spindellåseknappen under brugen.
•
Sæt langsomt maskinen i en vinkel på 90°.
Basisskinnen skal være plan i forhold til materialets
overflade. Se fig. J.
•
Styr maskinen med uret med et langsomt, konstant
tryk, mens du borer.
Bemærk: Da boret borer og drejer samtidig, vil der
være et let træk, mens der bores. Jo langsommere du
borer, jo mere kontrol har du over det Ved et for kraftigt
tryk eller for hurtig boring opstår der for megen varme,
hvilket kan forkorte borets levetid.
Bemærk:
Lad ikke din boring ende på bunden af hullet, når du
borer i en lodret flade. Start og slut om muligt boringen
foroven, så affaldet ikke falder ned på det roterende bor.
Most materials should be cut in a clockwise
direction. The exception is when cutting around an
outlet box in drywall. See: "Cutting Around Outlet Boxes in
Drywall".
•
Switch the tool "OFF" after completing the cut.
•
Remove the tool from the material carefully.
CUTTING AROUND OUTLET BOXES IN
DRYWALL

Do not use this tool to make cutouts around any
fixture or opening that has live electrical wires, or
any wall that may have live electrical wiring behind it. The bit
could conduct current to the tool, creating an electrocution
hazard for the operator.
If cutting into existing walls or other blind areas is
unavoidable, disconnect all fuses or circuit breakers to the
worksite. Always hold the tool by its thermoplastic housing.
To cut around an outlet box in drywall
•
Push the electrical wires back or to the far side of the
box so that the bit does not cut the wires when
inserted through the drywall.
•
Make a mark somewhat near the centre of the
opening in the box on the side of the drywall facing
you before fastening the drywall.
•
Fasten the drywall with nails or screws. Do not nail
or fasten screws closer then 12" from the box, or the
drywall may bulge or blister from the excess
pressure.
•
Switch the tool "ON".
•
Push the bit through the mark you made while
holding the tool firmly with both hands. See Fig.K.
•
Guide the bit to the right until you feel and hear the
bit touch the inside edge of the box. See Fig.L.
•
Pull out the bit far enough to slip it over the edge of
the box so it is now against the outside of the box.
•
Move the bit in counterclockwise direction until you
feel and hear it come to the upper left corner. To do
this, apply light upward pressure and keep the bit in
contact with the outside of the box. See Fig.M.
•
Round the upper right corner applying light down-
ward and inward pressure.
•
Move the bit along the top contour until you feel and
hear it come to the upper left corner. To do this,
apply light pressure to the right and keep the bit in
contact with the outside of the box. See Fig.N.
•
Round the upper left corner applying light downward
and inward pressure.
•
Move the bit along the left side contour until you feel
and hear it come to the lower left corner. To do this,
apply light downward pressure and keep the bit in
contact with the outside of the box. See Fig.O.
•
Round the lower left corner applying light upward
and inward pressure.
•
Move the bit along the bottom contour until you
feel and hear it come to the lower right corner. To do
this, apply light pressure to the right and keep the bit
in contact with the outside of the box. See Fig.P.
•
Round the lower right corner applying light upward
and inward pressure.

Move the bit along the right side contour until
you meet the initial upward cut. To do this, apply light
upward pressure and keep the bit in contact with the
outside of the box.

Switch the tool "OFF". See Fig.Q.
•
Take the bit out of the box.
CHARGING THE BATTERY

The FCO-18L battery charger is only suitable for
charging batteries of type FCO-18B.
•
Place the battery (8) inside the charger (15), as
shown on the illustration. Pay attention to + and -
pole markings.
•
Insert the charger plug into a power socket. The red
rapid charging lamp (16) should now be illuminated.
•
As soon as the green trickle charging lamp (17) lights
up, charging has been completed and the device is
ready for operation.
Only use the charger in a dry environment at
temperatures between 10˚C and 40˚C.
The battery in your omnisaw was not charged up at the
factory. Before using it for the first time, you should
charge it for approx. 1 – 2 hours so that it reaches full
capacity.
The final capacity of the battery is reached after 4 – 5
battery cycles.
DISCHARGING THE BATTERY
Not only charging batteries is important, discharging
is of equal importance or even greater importance.
•
When the battery is charged the cordless omnisaw
has to be used until you start noticing that the power
of the omnisaw is diminishing and that the maximum
rotational speed is not reached.
•
The battery is almost discharged now. Only now you
can start charging the battery.
•
Charging the battery while it is still charged for say
one-third of capacity, the so-called 'memory effect'
can occur. Since during charging only the discharged
part of the battery capacity of the battery is being
charged now, the battery can start crystallizing in the
one-third that is still charged. This part of the battery
capacity can never be used afterwards.
•
Do not discharge the battery to the minimum. As
soon as you notice that the power or the maximum
rotational speed is diminishing, you have to charge
the battery. When you proceed using the omnisaw
and the battery becomes fully discharged, the so-
called 'switch of poles effect' can occur. The polarity
of the battery poles will be switched: the '+'will
become '-' and the '-' will become the '+'. Once this
has occurred the polarity will remain switched during
loading and this will damage the battery irreparable.
When the cordless omnisaw is not being used over
a longer period of time, the battery has to be
charged fully first. The battery has to be stored in charged
condition.
