Function and handling

Chuck jaws for maximum repeat clamping accuracy must be
turned or ground in the chuck under clamping pressure.
• When turning or grinding, ensure that the turning ring or
turning pin is clamped by the top jaws and not by the base
jaws. Tighten the jaw mounting screws to the specified
torque.
NOTICE
Do not tighten the jaw mounting screws with an extension pipe
and/or hammer blows!
The ADR-S turning rings are easy to use and versatile.
It is possible to cover all intermediate stops for turning soft jaws
of Ø 250 to Ø 505 at 5 mm distances. The ADR-S turning rings can
be used for 2-, 3- or 6-jaw chucks.
A turning ring is either used directly or assembled with up to
3 clamping pins, depending on the clamping diameter. Screw
the clamping pins (A - D with heights varying between 7.5 and
30 mm) directly into the threads on the outer diameter of the
turning ring, applying a torque of 25 Nm. To determine the
clamping diameter, see table below.
NOTICE
Do not load the sides of the clamping pins!
There is a danger of the clamping pins shearing off.
Clamp the turning ring with max. 65 kN in the chuck.
The chuck jaws can now be turned.
