Operating the machine

Condition: The machine is set up and connected as de-
scribed in see chapter 4.
6.1 Inserting the wire-end ferrules
► Position the new wire end ferrule reel in such a way that
ensures it unwinds clockwise.
► Complete the next steps as shown in the following im-
ages.

The first ferrule on the wire-end ferrule strip must
protrude out of the transport unit, see Figure 6.3.
► Check the correct position by carefully pulling on the
wire-end ferrule strip.
► Insert the transport unit back into the machine so that it
snaps into its position.
► Close the protective cover.
► Roll up the loose wire end ferrule strip.

6.2 Set the cross-section

► Switch on the machine, see Figure 3.2, 10.
► Open the protective cover.
► Remove the transport unit.
► Press and hold the adjusting cylinder to the right, see
Figure 6.4, 1.
► Turn the adjusting cylinder until the crimp cylinder snaps
in at the desired die size, see Figure 6.4, 2.
Do not look at the print on the crimp cylinder, but rather the
cross-section shown on the display.

► To ensure the crimp cylinder has snapped into place, try
to turn the crimp cylinder.
► Re-insert the transport unit.
