Cleaning and maintaining the machine
7.3 Emptying the waste tray
The waste tray needs to be emptied at different intervals
depending on the thickness of the stripped material. The
waste tray also needs to be emptied before transportation
or shipping as well.
► Pull out the waste tray and empty it.
► Re-insert the waste tray.
7.4 Cleaning the outside of the machine
The machine should be cleaned regularly of dust. The ex-
terior of the machine must be cleaned as needed.
Cleaning the interior is part of maintenance, and
may be carried out only by trained personnel.
► Ensure the machine is switched off.

ATTENTION
The display and protective cover can be damaged!
Improper cleaning agents can scratch or destroy the dis-
play and protective cover.
► Clean the display carefully either with a special clean-
ing cloth for display surfaces or with a soft cloth and a
screen cleaning agent.
► Clean the protective cover carefully with a damp cloth.
► Clean the surface of the machine with a damp cloth.
► Use a mild soap-based cleaning agent if needed. Do not
use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

7.5 Cleaning the interior

► Remove the waste tray, see chapter 7.3.
► Clean the interior of the machine with a brush and a
vacuum cleaner if necessary.
Never use compressed air to clean the interior,
since this may spread stripping waste through-
out the inside of the machine, where it may be
unreachable. This could result in functional faults
and operating disruptions.

7.6 Cleaning and oiling the wire holding

► Clean the wire holding tongs using a brush
► Remove cutting waste with tweezers.

Monthly maintenance:

► Lubricate movable parts of the wire holding tongs with a
small amount of lubricant.

7.7 Cleaning the stripping blade

► Clean the stripping blade with a brush and a soft cloth,
see Figure 7.3, 1.

► Exchange the blades as needed, see chapter 8.4.
