4.11 REVERSE GEAR CUTTING
CONSENT BUTTON (Fig. 4.1 no.11)
By pressing and holding this button, it is pos-
sible to switch to reverse gear with the cutting
means engaged without causing the engine to
stop.
4.12 CRUISE CONTROL (if present)
(Fig. 4.1 no 12)
This device keeps the machine at the desired
drive speed without having to push the pedal
(4.32).
The mushroom-head button has two positions:
«A» = Pressed = D evice disengaged (off)
«B» = Pulled = Device on
– I f you turn on the device while driving, the
machine maintains the speed reached at that
time without having to press the pedal (4.32).
– T he device cannot be used when driving in
reverse.
– W hen the device is on, the pedal (4.32) can-
not be put into reverse («R»).
NOTE Speed may vary from that set when go-
ing up or down hill.
To turn off the device and reset pedal speed
control (4.32) just:
– p ress the drive pedal (4.32) in the «F» direc-
tion (forward gear);
or
– press the brake pedal (4.31).
In both cases the mushroom-head button auto-
matically returns to position «A».
IMPORTANT Always avoid pressing the
mushroom-head button to turn off the device.
4.13 GRASS CATCHER TIPPING
CONTROL (Fig. 4.1 no 13)
Manual control
The grass catcher may be tipped to empty
by pulling the lever (13.1), whichcan be ex-
tracted from its housing.
Electric control
The grass catcher may beemptied by
pressing the push-button (13.2), keeping it
pressed untilthe control motor stops.
The grass catcher returns to the working
position by pressing thepush-button (13.3),
keeping it presseduntil the pawl hooks into
place and thecontrol motor stops.
4.14 AUXILIARY ACCESSORY SOCKET
This is used to connect 12 DC powered electri-
cal equipment with maximum 50 Watt power
and suitable plug (automobile type).
– T he socket is only live when the key (4.4) is in
the "ON" position.
4.31 BRAKE PEDAL (Fig. 4.2 no.31)
This pedal works the brake on the rear wheels.
4.32 ACCELERATOR PEDAL
(Fig. 4.2 no 32)
This pedal is used to put the machine in forward
gear and adjust speed.
– Increasing the pressure on the pedal in direc-
tion «F» progressively increases the speed of
the machine.
– T he pedal automatically goes into neutral «N»
when released.
– T he "neutral" condition «N» is shown by the
lighting of a pilot lamp (4.7.e).
NOTE If the pedal is used with the parking
brake (4.5) on, the engine stops.
4.33 REVERSE PEDAL (Fig. 4.2 no 33)
This pedal is used to put the machine in reverse
and adjust speed.
– Increasing the pressure on the pedal in direc-
tion «R» progressively increases the speed of
the machine.
– T he pedal automatically goes into neutral «N»
when released.
– T he "neutral" condition «N» is shown by the
lighting of a pilot lamp (4.7.e).
WARNING!
when the machine has stopped.
NOTE If the pedal is used with the parking
brake (4.5) on, the engine stops.
