ing when connecting it. In other words, the discharge pipe must not be supported by
the coupling base. To connect the discharge pipe to the coupling base, we recommend
using compensators. This prevents strain, vibrations and noise.
1.
Align the coupling base vertically below the guide pipe bracket and mark out the drill
holes.
2.
Take away the coupling base and drill the holes.
3.
Thoroughly clean the holes and install the fastening or anchor bolts as described.
4.
Bolt the coupling base to the building structure.
5.3.3. Guide pipes
The guide pipes must be provided by the customer. They are attached to the coupling
base and fastened with the guide pipe bracket.
1.
Attach the guide pipe(s) to the brackets on the coupling base.
2.
Release the guide pipe holder and attach it to the guide pipe(s).
3.
Fasten the guide pipe bracket with the guide pipes to the pit entrance.
4.
Additionally, for stainless steel guide pipe brackets:
Turn the clamping screw to fasten the guide pipe(s).
5.3.4. Coupling flange
The coupling flange is fastened to the discharge port of the pump.

Pumps with cast iron housings
1.
Insert the hex bolts through the holes on the discharge port of the pump.
2.
Connect the coupling flange to the bolts and fasten it with the hex nuts.
The guide claws must face away from the pump.
Pumps with polyurethane housings
1.
Place the coupling flange on the discharge port of the pump and fasten it to the
discharge port using an Allen key.
The guide claws must face away from the pump.
BEWARE of damaging the hydraulic housing.
The polyurethane housings have threaded sockets. If you use the wrong screws or
overtighten them, the housing can be irreparably damaged. Only use the hex sock-
et screws supplied. The fastening material for the flange is packaged separately
and labeled for the corresponding units (TP/SCA/SVO) with polyurethane housings.
