Electrical connection

The electrical connection should be done by a specialist.
To avoid short-circuits and resulting damages to the DVD tuner, the negative pole (ground) of
the vehicle battery must be disconnected during installation.
Only re-connect the negative pole of the battery when the device is fully connected and after
you have checked the connection.
You should only use a voltmeter or a diode test lamp for checking the voltage on the on-board
cables as normal test lamps consume excessive currents and can thus damage the electrical
system of the car.
When installing the cables, make sure they are not squashed or chafe against sharp edges! Use
rubber bushings at passage points.
The loudspeakers must be connected using two-core cables. Insulate the bare wires at the
connecting terminals. Make sure no cables are damaged by sharp edges.
Only use loudspeakers with sufficient performance (see "Specifications").
Make sure that all loudspeakers have the correct polarity, i.e. the plus and minus signs must
match.
Usually, the connecting cables of the loudspeakers are coded: Some loudspeaker manufacturers
indicate the (+) wire by means of an additional colour stripe, others use a corrugated cable for
(+) and a smooth one for (-).
The device has been designed for loudspeaker impedances of at least 4 ohm. Never connect
loudspeakers with lower impedance.
Only use shielded RCA cables for the audio and video connection to the RCA sockets. The use
of other cables might cause disturbances.
Keep the connecting cables as short as possible.
Do not place the cables near other cables to avoid interferences.
To avoid distortions or mismatchings that could damage the unit, the RCA sockets must only
be connected to devices equipped with the same RCA sockets. Also note the information under
"Specifications".
