Strictly Follow the Instructions for Use
Any use of the training device requires a detailed knowledge of and
compliance with these instructions.
The training device is only to be used for the purposes specified
herein.
Maintenance
The training device must be inspected regularly by specialists.
Only allow specialists to perform repairs to the equipment.
We recommend taking out a service contract with Dräger and having
all repairs carried out by Dräger.
Use only original Dräger parts for maintenance work.
Note chapter "Maintenance".
Accessories
Only use accessories mentioned in the order list.
Safety symbols used in these Instructions for Use
These Instructions for Use contain a number of warnings for risks and
hazards which might occur when using the device. These warnings
contain signal words which will alert you to the degree of hazard you
may encounter. These signal words and corresponding hazards are
as follows:
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided,
could result in physical injury or damage to property.
It may also be used to alert against unsafe practices.
NOTICE
Indicates additional information on how to use the device.
Text written in cursive refers to the oxygen self-rescuer, insofar as the
use varies from the training device.
Description
The training device consists of a housing with a simulated functional
part. In contrast to the oxygen self-rescuer, the training device does
not contain chemically bound oxygen.
The dimensions and weight of the training device approximate those
of the oxygen self-rescuer. The functional part essentially corre-
sponds to the structure of the oxygen self-rescuer.
The breathing bag of the training device does not fill with oxygen.
Instead, the breathing takes place via the training heat exchanger.

Intended use

The training device exclusively intended for training purposes. It is
used to practice the opening and donning of an oxygen self-rescuer
as well as breathing with an oxygen self-rescuer.
The training device is assigned to the following oxygen self-rescuers.
