7.1.1 Cleaning the ice making unit

11. Switch off the machine by pressing the
on / off button once.
12. Remove the front panel (cover and front
panel for IC135 models) to access the
control element
Automatic cleaning:
Before starting cleaning, there should be no
ice in either the storage container or the
evaporator. The first ice shedding after
cleaning should be disposed of.
13. Hold down the OK button for 5 seconds
(the tub moves up and closes the
vaporizer cups)
Follow the display of the control element:
14. Carefully pour approx. 250 ml of
WESSAMAT special cleaner into each
tub, making sure that none of it comes
into contact with electrical components.
15. Confirm with the OK button to start the cleaning process (display: cleaning in progress).
The cleaning program runs for approx. 25 minutes, after which the machine switches to its initial state
Depending on the hardness of the water, cleaning should be carried out at least every 4 weeks to ensure trouble-
free operation. In addition to the automatic cleaning program, the residual water tray and slide must be cleaned by
hand with Wessamat cleaner to avoid or remove limescale deposits (only IC135 EC)
(Display: Eisbereiter aus).
16. On IC135 models, unscrew the ice baffle.
17. Thoroughly rub the remaining water tray with a cloth soaked in WESSAMAT special cleaner so that all dirt and
limescale residues are removed, then
rub thoroughly with clear water.
Neutralize the remaining residues of the
special cleaner with soapy water. A
sponge or cloth can be used for this.
18. On IC135 models, screw the Ice guiding
sheet back on
19. Fasten the front panel or front panel and
cover again.
20. Switch on the machine by pressing the
on / off button once.
