SHELL STITCH
Shell stitch is for seaming and overcasting
sheer, soft fabrics in one operation. It also
produces a delicate shell hem on lingerie
and other fine garments.
SEAM AND OVERCAST IN ONE
Place the right sides of the fabric together
and position under the presser foot so that
the zig-zag part of the stitch sews just over
the raw edge.
SHELL TUCKS
Turn under the raw edge and press. Place
the fabric right side up so that the zigzag
part of the stitch sews just over the folded
edge, pulling the fabric in to form a shell
hem. Trim away excess fabric close to the
stitching line.

PUNTO CONCHIGLIA
Il punto conchiglia è utilizzato per la
cucitura ed il sopraggitto di tessuti leggeri
e morbidi in una sola operazione. Esso
produce un delicato orlo conchiglia sulla
lingerie e su altri indumenti delicati.
CUCITURA E SOPRAGGITTO
Unire le parti anteriori del tessuto e
posizionare sotto il piedino in modo che la
p a r t e z i g - z a g d e l p u n t o r i c o p r a
perfettamente il bordo non rifinito.
ORLO CONCHIGLIA
Rivoltare l'orlo non rifinito e premere. Porre
il davanti del tessuto in modo che la parte
zig-zag del punto vada a coprire il bordo
ripiegato, facendo rientrare il tessuto per
formare un orlo conchiglia. Tagliare il
tessuto in eccesso vicino alla linea di
cucitura.
DESSOUS-STICH
Mit diesem Stich können Sie in einem
Arbeitsgang leichte, weiche Stoffe nähen
und versäubern.

Muschelkanteneffekt erzielen.
Legen Sie den Stoff rechts auf rechts, und
schieben Sie ihn so unter den Nähfuß, dass
die Spitze des Stiches gerade über die
Stoffkante hinausgeht.
MUSCHELKANTE
Schlagen Sie die Stoffkante etwa 12 mm
um und bügeln Sie sie an. Überstehenden
Stoff knapp entlang der Naht abschneiden.
Schieben Sie den Stoff mit der rechten
Seite nach oben so unter den Nähfuß, dass
die Spitze des Stiches knapp über der
umgelegten Kante einsticht und so den
Stoff in Muschelform zieht.
