Mechanical operation of the edge trimmer with Class 272-640642
The edge trimmer 5 is mechanically switched on with the lever 6 down and switched off
with lever 6 up.
Speed control of the edge trimmer with the Class 272-740642
The trimming speed is altered with the switch 3.
Position 0 = Edge trimmer off,
Position I = Slow trimming speed for normal stitch lengths,
position II = High trimming speed for greater stitch lengths.
The green LED 4 is lit when the machine is turned on.
Electropneumatic switching of the edge trimmer on Class 272-740642
The controls of the sewing drive contain two function modules for the electropneumatic
raising and lowering of the edge trimmer. These can be selected via a parameter.
"Manual Edge Trimmer" function module

Set the "Manual Edge Trimmer" function module. (Setting see Parameter
table line A)

The edge trimmer can be turned on at any time through operation of the key Y,
the LED X is off.

With this parameter setting (Setting see Parameter table line B), the edge trimmer
is turned off with the thread trimming.
